Meet Bill Mandigo, A Coaching & Leadership Journal Subscriber

Bill Mandigo has won more women’s hockey games than any other coach in the history of the game. He enters his 29th year at Middlebury College with a career record of 522-135-37. Mandigo led the team to American Women’s Hockey Coaches Association (AWHCA) National Titles in 2000 and 2001 before taking three-consecutive NCAA Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006. His teams have also captured eight NESCAC Championships and have 19 or more wins in 19 of the last 21 seasons. After leading his team to its first ECAC Championship in 1996, Mandigo was named the ECAC Coach of the Year. He also led the team to five more ECAC titles. In 2001, Mandigo was again honored as the ECAC Coach of the Year, as well as the AHCA National Coach of the Year. In 2001, 2004 and 2005, Mandigo was named the AHCA National Coach of the Year.
