FEAR= Future Events Already Ruined

Image
When you think of a fearless person, you might imagine a real-life James Bond who performs death-defying stunts knowing he could die at any second. But for most fear operates at a subconscious level and prevents people from being the best they can be. Fear is one of the most powerful forces in life.  It affects the decisions you make, the actions you take, and the outcomes you achieve. Who you are and what you do has at one point or another been influenced by fear.  And while the primary role of fear is to protect you, fear very often becomes a significant obstacle that stands between you and your dreams. Being successful relies to a large extent on knowing how to leverage fear. Here are some thoughts that may help. When you feel fear about moving forward tell yourself that infinite intelligence always finishes successfully whatever it begins. If you read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , there are some solid lessons buried inside this dark story. Stevenson developed much wisdom during his short life. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde follows an investigation—led by a man known as Mr. Utterson—regarding the strange relationship between the esteemed Dr. Jekyll and the violent lunatic, Mr. Hyde. Not only is Mr. Hyde set to inherit Dr. Jekyll's money, but Dr. Jekyll spends a great deal of time rationalizing this odd friendship. Mind Talk

Most men try to change conditions and circumstances by working with conditions and circumstances. To remove discord, confusion, lack and limitation you must remove the cause and cause is the way you are using your conscious mind. In other words, the way you are thinking and what you are picturing in your mind. Tell your mind be still, be quiet, I am in control, you must obey me, you are subject to my command, you cannot intrude where you do not belong. Never finish a negative statement, reverse it immediately and wonders will happen in your life. Wojo—How I Got Recruited to Duke

“I remember seeing Coach Krzyzewski at my games the summer before my high school senior year. When he walks into a gym, he carries such a big presence. It’s a special thing. I kind of fell into being a high-major player the summer before my senior year. I thought I’d end up at the Ivy League But I went to the FIve-Star Camp and ended up getting MVP. There was one extra spot at the camp, and it was a spot on a team with nine Russians. None of them spoke English. We had a great week. I went from being recruited by Penn and Princeton to Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest. I wasn’t very tall, not jet-quick or a great shooter. But I was a leader. Coach K was asking his assistant Mike Brey: ‘Is this kid good enough?’ And Coach K always tells this story, that Mike Brey told him, ‘If he can lead nine Russians, he can lead anyone.’ --Steve Wojciechowski _________________________________________________________ The Gold Standard: Building a World-Class Team
